British Gas announce help grants for winter fuel and energy debt

If you are worried about energy debt or winter fuel costs this winter, British Gas have been in touch with the following:
Dear Penny,
We know that this winter a lot of households are facing financial difficulties. That is why we have launched a £2 million fund that could support your constituents with energy debt.
Over the next couple of weeks, our most financially vulnerable customers will be contacted to let them know they can apply for a no strings attached energy grant from £250. Our Chief Executive Chris O’Shea explains more about the grants here.
These grants are for British Gas customers only, however, we have other schemes in place to support both our own and other energy companies’ customers which are detailed in the attached document.
